Try Not To Get Lost

Sep28

Hiking can be great fun. No matter where your experience lies though, you must be careful. Hikers are always getting lost. Why? Well sometimes the reasons vary but one thing is for sure, it costs tons of money at times to find them. Certainly organizations responsible for this want to ensure everyone’s safety when they visit parks to hike or camp. But they cannot.

There are a lot of places within these areas that hikers can get disoriented and lose their direction. First, hikers have no business going into areas that they are not experienced to handle. Parks and recreation departments spend millions of tax payer dollars to make sure trails are kept up with and they want there to be more remote areas within these parks for people to visit.

At the same time we have the responsibility to be certain we adhere to the rules, stick to the trails and make sure we are responsible outdoors people.
