The ‘day music died’ is not that known in our younger generation. So when was the day that music died? This year marks the 51st anniversary of when Buddy Holly and a couple of other musicians died suddenly in a plane crash. Buddy Holly was just 23 years old at the time. But even though he was 23, he was already wildly popular. There are many rock legends, many of them from so long ago that helped to change the face of music as we know it today.

Most certainly music did not technically die then, but it was an off period so to speak for the music industry. Many people often wonder what would have happened if these lost musical stars had lived much longer than they did. Certainly music did continue to roll out from new faces and new groups though.
